YOUNG RESEARCHERS
ALdE PRIZE 2013
We are very pleased to announce that there will be a new Young researchers ALdE Prize 2013 awarded at the Applied Economics Meeting (AEM-2013) in Granada (Spain). This year the Prize will be for the best paper whose authors are under 35 years old. This prize is donated by Asociación  Libre de Economía (AldE) and amounts 1.500 €. All full papers (submitted by the deadline) stating their willingness to participate in the contest will be considered for the prize. The result of the selection process will be announced during the Meeting.
 
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 2013
1.
All the participants in the Meeting of Applied Economics with age below 35 years who presented the paper efectivelly during it are entitled to participate. In the event that the work submitted has several authorsand some of them exceeds the age of 35, the prize will be awarded only for those who do not exceed this limit.

The work to be rewarded will be chosen among the qualified candidates with a higher score given by members of the Scientific Committee (SC). The SC will also take into account the views of the chairman of the different sessions.

The jury will be composed of the Scientific Committee of the Meeting or by those members of the Committee in which it delegated. The Honorary President of the Jury shall be the President of ALDE, who in the event of a tie vote shall have the casting vote. It will act as secretary of the jury the member who holds this role on the board of ALDE, with a voice but no vote.
4.
The amount of the Prize will be 1500.00 (one thousand five hundred euros).
5.
The jury may award a number of Special mentions that in no case exceed three and that will not have any economic payment. The prize may be declared void.
6.
The verdict of the jury is final and will be made public at a ceremony, during which the prizes and honorable mentions will be handed over.
7.
Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
